There are very few beers around that don't taste like "cat piss" to quote one of my astute colleagues...and this is as far as I'm concerned one of them!
Its light and doesn't have that disgusting bitter aftertaste that numerous other beers do and is one of the few beers that I can actually finish without feeling like a puffer fish. |

I don't like Tooheys.
Having said that, it would be too easy to just pass this off as yet another Tooheys. Dry indeed, a little bland, easy to put away. Somewhat annoying aftertaste.
This is by no means a great beer, but it is suprisingly tolerable considering it is made by Tooheys - a name that for me will always be synonymous with shite beer and the destruction of the local pub/club scene.
Anyway, stop your whingeing and remember that this country also produced XXXX, this company also produced Tooheys Blue, and that tens of thousands of Aussies still drink VB. This beer is not as bad as it gets.
Now, once again I have to convince the manager on tonight not to put any of this swill in the band rider... |

Although I was shocked and dismayed to see this lobbed onto my desk, I don't think it is as bad as some are making out. I used to drink 7 of these before hitting G-Spot on a Friday night when at uni and it always made the girls with "good personalities" look a lot better. But like many cold filtered beers it is pretty weak and can leave a bad taste in your mouth. |

It's beer like this that can give beer a bad name.
It's bland, lifeless, tasteless. It has an absence of flavour. If I were stuck on a desert island and had to choose between drinking Tooheys Extra Dry and sea water, I would have to think long and hard about it.
Tooheys Extra Shite, even worse than normal Tooheys beers. |

I am not a big fan of Pooheys
Pooheys Extra Dry would be one of there better beers, a bit like drinking dirty brown water from a effluent pond from a dairy farm, most likely leave you feeling the same way the next day, and yes this is one of there better Beers.
